Questions & Answers

Ciao everyone — the 12th September is starting to feel much closer now, so here are the practical details guests may need while planning travel, RSVP details, and the wedding weekend.

We will keep adding to this page as more details are confirmed. If your plans are still in the works, this is a gentle nudge to start firming them up when you can. Tap a question to open the answer.

When is the wedding?

The wedding is on Saturday, 12 September 2026. We are so excited to celebrate with you in Italy.

Where is the wedding venue?

The venue is Agriturismo Colli Euganei - Monte Altore, Via Bagnara Alta 836, 35030 Zovon PD, Italy.

It is in the Euganei Hills, south-west of Padova, which itself is south-west of Venice.

How do I RSVP?

Use the RSVP page. Type the full invited guest name from your invitation, then follow the form for your party.

If details change later, you can come back and submit an update using the same invited name.

Which airport should we fly to?

We recommend Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE). It is the major airport in the region and has frequent connections to Padova in around 45 minutes.

Other options include Venice Treviso Airport (TSF), a smaller airport near Padova, and Verona Airport (VRN), which is further west but gives you the chance to see Verona.

When should we arrive in Italy?

If possible, aim to arrive by the afternoon of Friday, 11 September 2026. That gives you time to travel to your accommodation and join the pre-wedding evening plans if you would like to.

How do we get from the airport to Padova?

GoOpti is an airport-transfer booking service you can use to arrange shared or private taxi transport. It should be booked in advance; as a rough guide, shared travel from Venice Marco Polo to Padova was around £15-25 per person when we first sent the travel note.

If travelling by bus, Busitalia is the main operator from Venice Marco Polo to Padova, with tickets available from the airport. Car hire is also an option from each airport.

Do British guests need extra time at the airport?

Yes, please allow extra airport time. The EU Entry/Exit System for non-EU travellers has been adding around 30-60 minutes to border checks on both arrival and departure.

The checks involve biometrics: a passport scan, fingerprints, and a photo at signposted self-service kiosks. You need to do biometrics both on arrival and departure before using the e-gates.

Should we get travel insurance?

We would encourage everyone booking flights to consider travel insurance. With global events affecting air travel, we want guests to have both peace of mind and financial protection.

Where should we stay?

For first-time travellers to the area, we recommend staying around Padova city centre. It should put you within walking distance of bus or taxi drop-offs and the historic sights of Padova.

Staying nearer the Euganean Hills can be lovely, but those areas are fairly remote and more difficult to get into and out of. It works best if you are hiring a car.

Will there be transport to the venue?

We plan to arrange bus transport from designated pick-up spots around Padova. Exact pick-up locations and timings will be confirmed closer to the wedding.

If you would like to use the bus, please let us know where you will be staying. That helps us coordinate sensible pick-up points and tell you whether you may need to travel to a nearby stop.

Can we drive to the venue?

Yes. There will be plenty of parking at the wedding venue if you hire a car or drive there.

Are there plans for the night before?

For anyone arriving in Padova early, we are planning a relaxed get-together on Friday, 11 September 2026 at Giardini dell’Arena, from around 6pm.

It should be a lovely chance to say hello before the wedding day itself. More details will follow.

What should we do while in Padova?

We have put together a handpicked Google Maps list of some of our favourite places to see in Padova. The “where to eat and drink” list is still being perfected and will be shared soon.

More recommendations are coming soon — especially food and drink, because obviously that is the important list.

Can we ask for help with our plans?

Absolutely. Please reach out if you have questions, need help making decisions, or just want a sanity check on flights, hotels, transport, or where to stay.

If you want to keep us up to date with your planned accommodation, that is optional but very welcome.

Where can we find the newsletters?

The newsletter archive is available from the Newsletters dropdown at the top of the site.

You can also jump straight to Newsletter #1 or Newsletter #2.
